Does Ryan Seacrest Have Any Pets?

Ryan Seacrest has two dogs, both Labradors, named Georgia and Olio.

Georgia

Breed: Labrador | Adopted May 2014

Ryan Seacrest has a black Labrador named Georgia that he got in May 2014, which was the first dog he’s ever had. The dog was a gift from American Idol creator Simon Fuller. Seacrest was visiting Fuller and playing with his dogs, who are all black Labs. Fuller saw how Seacrest played and told him that he’d be a dad one day. A couple of weeks later, a tiny black Lab puppy is delivered to his door with a note saying, “Dear Ryan, this is your first step into daddyhood. Love, Simon Fuller.” Georgia was named after his home State.

Olio

Breed: Labrador | Adopted Feb 2024

In February 2024, Ryan Seacrest revealed he got a yellow Labrador named Olio several months earlier.

Ryan Seacrest is an American multifaceted media personality and producer renowned for his work on radio, television, and behind-the-scenes in the entertainment industry. He skyrocketed to fame as the host of American Idol, a role he took on in 2002 and which made him a household name across the globe. Seacrest’s tenure on American Idol was marked by his becoming the highest-paid reality television host at the time, thanks to a deal worth $45 million in 2009 to continue hosting the show, and further contracts that underscored his pivotal role in the program’s success.

Seacrest’s impact extends beyond American Idol. In 2005, he took on the role of executive producer and co-host of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, stepping into the shoes of the legendary Dick Clark and bringing the show to new heights of popularity. His involvement with the show has been a significant part of his career, hosting it for over 15 consecutive years and honoring Dick Clark’s legacy in the process.

His career has spanned various platforms and networks, including a notable partnership with E! and NBCUniversal. His role expanded in 2012 when he signed a deal with NBCUniversal, contributing to the Today Show, Olympics coverage, and more. Despite leaving E! News in 2012, his influence in entertainment and broadcasting remained strong.

In 2017, Seacrest joined Live with Kelly and Ryan as co-host and executive producer, a role he held until 2023 when he stepped down due to the logistics of traveling between New York City, where the show tapes, and his primary residence in Los Angeles. However, he remains connected to the show, returning as a guest host when needed.

Looking ahead, Seacrest is set to take over as the host of Wheel of Fortune starting in the fall of 2024, marking a new chapter in his already storied career.
