Ritu Arya
Ritu Arya is a British actress, best known for her vibrant portrayal of the character Dr. Megan Sharma in the popular British soap opera Doctors from 2013 until 2017. In 2023, she played to role of Journalist Barbie in the Barbie movie (2023), which starred Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
After making her mark in the soap opera universe, Arya went on to make her presence known in the domain of film and internationally-acclaimed TV series. She starred in Netflix’s superhero series The Umbrella Academy as Lila Pitts, a mysterious and skilled operative. Her role in The Umbrella Academy was met with critical acclaim, and her character became a fan favorite. Arya also made an impressionable appearance in the globally successful series Feel Good on Netflix. The big screen welcomed her in the comedy-drama film Last Christmas, directed by Paul Feig, where she co-starred with Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding. Arya has worked alongside esteemed artists such as Aidan Gallagher, Robert Sheehan, and Elliot Page in The Umbrella Academy. In Feel Good, she shared the screen with Mae Martin and Lisa Kudrow, among others.
Throughout her career, Arya has consistently garnered recognition for her skill and commitment to her craft. She was nominated for the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer for her role in Doctors in 2014.
