Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman is an American-born Australian actress and producer, whose accolades include an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Golden Globe Awards. Kidman made history in 2024 as the first Australian to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award.
Kidman’s career began in Australia with roles in the 1983 films Bush Christmas and BMX Bandits. Her international breakthrough came with the thriller Dead Calm (1989) and the miniseries Bangkok Hilton (1989). She gained significant attention with her role in Days of Thunder (1990), which led to her marriage to co-star Tom Cruise. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Kidman starred in a series of successful films, including To Die For (1995), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), and Moulin Rouge! (2001) with Ewan McGregor. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours (2002), which also starred Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep. She received further Oscar nominations for her roles in Moulin Rouge!, Rabbit Hole (2010), Lion (2016), and Being the Ricardos (2021)
Kidman was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001 and is has been married to Keith Urban since 2006.
