Marisa Abela's Pets

Marisa Abela is an English actress best known for her television roles in the BBC Two/HBO series Industry and the Sky One series COBRA, as well as her upcoming major film breakthrough as Amy Winehouse in Back to Black. Born in Brighton, Marisa was raised by a Maltese-Libyan father and Polish Jewish mother. She attended Roedean School before graduating from Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2019. Her career began when she was 11 years old with Man In A Box (2008), followed by appearances in She Is Love and Rogue Agent (2020). In 2022, she joined the cast of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie before being confirmed to take on the lead role of Amy Winehouse in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s biopic Back To Black (2023).
