Jonathan Banks is an American actor. He gained popularity after roles in the films Airplane! (1980), 48 Hrs. (1982) and Beverly Hills Cop (1984). Jonathan Banks is known to be the “tough guy” operative in films. After his breakthrough role as detective Frank McPike in the television series Wiseguy (1987–1990), he had the role of cleaner Mike Ehrmantraut in the television series Breaking Bad (2009–2012). The role had a spin-off into Better Call Saul (2015–2022). He has received six Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
