Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg, known more commonly as Greta Thunberg, is a Swedish environmental activist who has become famous for calling on the world and public leaders to take action against climate change. Falling in line with her environmental activism, Thunberg is also an animal rights activist. On International Day for Biological Diversity in 2021, Greta unveiled a video sponsored by Mercy For Animals to her millions of followers on social media that stressed the importance of protecting animals and nature in order to fight the global ecological crisis. As for the animals in her personal life, Greta has two dogs whom she loves dearly named Roxy and Moses. Thunberg has received numerous honours and awards for her international environmental efforts, including making Time’s 100 most influential people list, being the youngest Time Person of the Year, and earning three nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize.
