Ben Bailey Smith, professionally known as Doc Brown, is a British rapper, comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He gained recognition in the early 2000s as a battle rapper in London’s underground hip-hop scene. Transitioning into comedy and acting, he has appeared in television series such as “Law & Order: UK” and “4 O’Clock Club.” In 2016, he collaborated with Ricky Gervais on the film “David Brent: Life on the Road,” contributing to its soundtrack.[1]

Throughout his career, Doc Brown has collaborated with various artists across different mediums. In music, he worked with Mark Ronson, contributing to the track “The Night Last Night” from the album “Here Comes the Fuzz.” He was part of the hip-hop collective Poisonous Poets, alongside Lowkey and Tony D, releasing the mixtape “Poisonous Poetry” in 2005. In comedy, he appeared alongside Jack Dee in the BBC series “Lead Balloon.” He also featured in the “Taskmaster” series, participating with comedians such as Greg Davies and Alex Horne. In 2016, he collaborated with Ricky Gervais on the film “David Brent: Life on the Road,” contributing to its soundtrack. Additionally, he has worked with his sister, novelist Zadie Smith, on various creative projects.[2]
