David Baszucki is a Canadian-born American entrepreneur, engineer, and software developer, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Roblox Corporation. He previously co-founded and served as the CEO of Knowledge Revolution, which was acquired by MSC Software in December 1998.
Baszucki’s professional journey began with Knowledge Revolution, where he developed “Interactive Physics,” a 2D physics simulation educational software. Following the success of “Interactive Physics,” Knowledge Revolution introduced “Working Model,” a mechanical design software. After the acquisition of Knowledge Revolution by MSC Software, Baszucki served as vice president and general manager until 2002. He then established Baszucki & Associates, an angel investment firm, and provided seed funding to Friendster, a social networking service. In 2004, he co-founded Roblox Corporation with Erik Cassel, launching the Roblox platform in 2006, which has since become a leading online entertainment platform for children and teenagers.
Throughout his career, Baszucki has collaborated with various individuals and organizations, significantly impacting the tech and gaming industries.
