Does Dana White Have Any Pets?

English Mastiff (Dog)

Breed: English Mastiff | Adopted 2013

White had one dog, an English Mastiff, who he told Joe Rogan on his podcast in 2015 that it ripped a part of his 9-year-old daughter’s ear off. The dog was put down as a result of the attack. This happened during UFC 192 while Alexander Gustafsson and Daniel Cormier were in the octagon. It was said that the dog attacked after his daughter refused to give her ice cream cone to him. White had a leading plastic surgeon rushed in to fix his daughter’s ear, telling Rogan, “When the plastic surgeon came and put her ear back on and then fixed the ear this way, sewed it back together… My daughter’s ear looks unbelievable.”

With his friend Lorenzo Fertitta, a casino executive and former athletic commissioner, and Lorenzo’s brother bought the UFC in January 2001. White was made UFC president and owned 9% of the new parent company. The UFC’s international growth and success has been attributed to White’s leadership. In 2016, the UFC was sold to a group of investors for $4 billion, with White continuing as president until today.
