Dana White
Dana Frederick White, Jr is an American entrepreneur. Known as the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), he’s worth an estimated $500 million. He began boxing as a teenager, leading to him managing fighters. He eventually became managers to famous mixed martial art fighters Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, while they fought in the UFC. During this time, he heard the owners of the UFC were looking to sell. With his friend Lorenzo Fertitta, a casino executive and former athletic commissioner, and Lorenzo’s brother bought the UFC in January 2001. White was made UFC president and owned 9% of the new parent company. The UFC’s international growth and success has been attributed to White’s leadership. In 2016, the UFC was sold to a group of investors for $4 billion, with White continuing as president until today.
