With over two decades of experience in the film industry, one of Gillespie’s most notable films was the critically acclaimed biopic, “I, Tonya,” which received three Academy Award nominations, including Best Actress for Margot Robbie‘s portrayal of Tonya Harding. The film also won the Best Supporting Actress award for Allison Janney‘s performance as Tonya’s mother.
