Blair Underwood
Blair Underwood is an American actor and producer known for his work in television and film. He has received multiple NAACP Image Awards for his performances.
Underwood gained recognition for his role as Jonathan Rollins on L.A. Law (1986–1994). He starred as Darius Lovehall in Love Jones (1997) and appeared in Set It Off (1996) and The Trip to Bountiful (1985). His television credits include The Event (2010–2011), The New Edition Story (2017), and Quantico (2015–2018). Underwood’s stage work features productions like A Soldier’s Play (2009) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2008).
Underwood’s collaborations include work with Halle Berry in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999), Tyler Perry in For Colored Girls (2010), and Oprah Winfrey on The Women of Brewster Place (1989). He worked with Barry Levinson on Homicide: Life on the Street (1993–1999) and with Steven Soderbergh on The Sentinel (2006). His stage performances with playwright August Wilson are notable, as well as his contributions to productions such as A Raisin in the Sun (2004).
