Axl Rose had an American Shorthair cat named Dexter “Dexy” Maranello Rose, that passed away in November 2021 at the age of 14.

Thank you to everyone for all the kind words n’ support w/Dexy’s passing, it means a lot. N’ thank you to all the animal lovers who shared their stories of losing a friend/family member. Good friends r hard to find n’ we’re all lucky when we find them (or they find us!)

Axl Rose has two other American Shorthair cats named Whiskey and Dijon, seen here as kittens with Dexter (RIP).

In a rare interview with Jimmy Fallon in 2012, Axl Rose mentioned having his own “zoo” with cats, dogs, parrots, and wolves. He didn’t elaborate if it was a literal zoo or just that he has a bunch of pets. He also didn’t mention if the wolves are allowed on the couch or if they have their own living space separate from his other pets.

Axl Rose had a beloved dog named Rosie, who passed away on June 7, 2017. Guns N’ Roses performed later that day, with Rose dedicating a song to her.

Axl Rose has a French Bulldog named Mr. Blue, who is also his Twitter profile pic. This photo of Mr. Blue was shared by Beta Beis, Rose’s beloved assistant and his “adoptive” mom.

Axl Rose had a dog named Torque in the 1980s, who often appeared in photographs with him. Axl has had several dogs over the years.
