Miley Cyrus' Pets

Shanti was adopted by Miley in May 2015 and launched her own Instagram account that same month. While Shanti was only active on Instagram for less than a month with only 37 posts, she managed to rack up 122,000 followers.

LiLo is Kiki’s sister who Miley rescued in July 2015. The popular theory is she’s named after Lindsay Lohan.

Adopted by Miley in 2011, Floyd the Alaskan Klee kai was tragically killed by a coyote in 2014. She has dedicated songs to Floyd and admitted he was her favorite dog. Floyd also left a mark on Miley’s friends, with her, Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips and his girlfriend Katy Weaver gettings tattoos of Floyd.

Not much is known about Harlem, but he made the news in April 2016. This is when Miley shared photos on social media of bloody scratches on her arm and forehead on social media. Miley didn’t officially confirm which of her cats did it, but it’s believed Harlem was the attacker.

Kiki and LiLo were two kittens adopted by Miley in July 2015. Always the supporter of animals, Miley had said she rescued them from a bad situation.

Pablow the blowfish died in February 2015 and had a song dedicated to him on the album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz. She also got a tattoo in his memory and shared it on Instagram.

Moonie was a gift from Miley’s mom Tish to help her get over Floyd’s death. They didn’t last long together, as in April 2014 Miley tweeted that she wasn’t ready to add another dog to her already huge pack and gave him up.

Full name Emu Coyne Cyrus and also known as “MuMu”, this collie was named after her good friend Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips. Miley adopted him from the shetlands sheepdog home in June 2014.

Bean is a chihuahua mix that Miley adopted in January 2013 when he was a tiny puppy.

This cute yorkie mix got in a fight with Ziggy, Liam’s bulldog, in 2012. She sadly died two months after as a result of her fight injuries. This led to the couple giving Ziggy to a new home.

Penny Lane is a mutt Miley adopted in November 2012 for Thanksgiving. She came from Saving Spot! Dog Rescue in Los Angeles.

Miley Cyrus used to have a pig named Pig Pig, but was formally known as Bubba Sue Pig Pig was adopted in August 2014. He’s famous for sharing the cover of Paper Magazine with Miley on their summer 2015 issue. Pig Pig sadly passed away in July 2019.

Mary Jane is a pitbull mix Miley adopted in 2011 and is probably named after one of her favorite recreational activities.

Milky is all-white pitbull that Miley adopted in November 2015.

Now named Happy, this beagle rottweiler mix was found abandoned outside a Walmart in May 2012 by Miley and finance Liam Hemsworth.

Barbie is a beagle Miley rescued from laboratory testing in July 2016.

Miley Cyrus rescued an abandoned bulldog and named he after supermodel Kate Moss in August 2020.

In 2019, Miley Cyrus and her parents Tish and Billy Ray mourned the loss of their beloved German Shepherd, Mate.

Cody Simpson adopted a rescue dog named Bo with Miley Cyrus during the 2020 lockdown together.
