Meeka
Jenna Dewan had a rescued Japanese Spitz named Meeka. The breed is a cousin of the pomeranian and look very similar, but are usually larger. She adopted Meeka in 2006 and she passed away in May 2024 at 18 years old. See Dewan’s tribute to Meeka here.
Cajun
For Channing Tatum’s 36th birthday in April 2016, Jenna Dewan gave him his second rescue horse, named Cajun.
Heather
Heather was the Tatum family goat. She didn’t live a public life like their dogs, but was loved by her family. She sadly passed away in January 2016, with Channing posting an Instagram of Heather with his daughter Everly dedicated to the goat’s memory.
Wylie
Jenna Dewan adopted a a rescue dog named Wylie as a gift from her fiance Steve Kazee in Decemeber 2021.
Violet May
Steve Kazee and Jenna Dewan had a rescue dog named Violet Mae or “Vivi” for short. She was adopted in 2012 and passed away in August 2021 at 9 years old.
Missing this girl so much still. I know that grief is just love with nowhere to go and so I put love into the memories that we made together. Sometimes though when it’s quiet, which isn’t often with two kids, and I’m by myself, which is also pretty rare, grief will come calling asking me to find it a place to go and the only thing I can do is tell it to pull up a chair and stay awhile. We cry together, we laugh together, and we share stories. Then, and only then do I say my goodbyes to grief and as it turns into love and heads out into the stars I thank it for the visit and for reminding me how we got here in the first place. Tonight is one of those nights. It sometimes feels like the hole will never close but a part of me knows that it is never meant to. Love you ViVi and I hope there are squirrels all the way down the line. See you in the stars.

Cosmo
Steve Kazee and Jenna Dewan have a rescue dog named Cosmo. Cosmo and Wiley were both adopted from Wagmore Pets in Los Angeles.

Jenna Dewan Tatum is an American Actress and dancer. She started her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson, which led to her dancing for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott and Pink. Her big screen acting debut came in 2006 when she co-starred with Channing Tatum in Step Up.
She has also starred on the short-lived NBC series The Playboy Club and had a recurring role on the FX series American Horror Story: Asylum. She portrayed Freya Beauchamp on the Lifetime series Witches of East End, Lucy Lane in The CW series Supergirl and its spin-off Superman & Lois, and Joanna in Soundtrack on Netflix. Dewan has hosted the reality television shows World of Dance and Flirty Dancing. She currently stars as Bailey on ABC’s The Rookie. In 2006, Dewan started dating actor Channing Tatum after meeting on the set of their film Step Up. They married on July 11, 2009, in Malibu, California. They have one daughter, born in 2013. On April 2, 2018, the couple announced that they were separating. Six months later, Dewan filed for divorce from Tatum. Their divorce was finalized in November 2019. In 2024, Dewan married actor Steve kazee.
