The Palisades and Eaton fires that are currently raging are already the most devastating in the history of Los Angeles County – To people, property, pets, and wildlife. With our focus on pets, we hope to help draw support for the Pasadena Humane Society, that have incredibly taken in over 400 animals in the last two days as a result of the Eaton fire.
We normally wouldn’t want to share any distressing images of pets, but this is the reality faced by so many people as we write, so we feel it’s sadly necessary. With the fire spreading so quickly, many people were unable to return to their homes to save their pets. Or their pets panicked and got loose.
Their community was quick to rally behind them, with supplies being dropped off at a fast rate. But they of course still need support.
Their ICU is currently at full capacity and they’re doing everything they can. They’re asking for online donations and include contact info below for anyone who can foster or drop off supplies.
For more details, see the interview below with Pasadena Humane Society CEO Dia DuVernet. For up-to-date info, visit their Eaton Canyon Fire Update page. If you’re able to donate, please visit give.pasadenahumane.org/fire.
Paris Hilton also shared videos of her and her dogs escaping the wildfires, along with ways people can help.
