Supermodel Cindy Crawford recently shared the sad news of her dog Widget’s passing, a beloved family member who was, in her words, “a puppy for 17 years.” This follows the passing of her other pup, Sugar.

For a legendary supermodel, you’d guess confidence just comes naturally. In the case of Crawford, a fear of dogs haunted her since getting bitten as a child up until her early 40s. But she managed to overcome her fear to ensure her kids, Presley and Kaia Gerber, didn’t end up inheriting it. So she decided on two “not too scary” small dogs.
Widget, alongside her late “sister” Sugar, became integral to the celebrity Crawford-Gerber family life. Crawford reminisced about “watching my kids chase our dogs around or dress them up or just cuddle up together on the couch.” As everyone grew older, the dogs’ “friendly presence continued to bring joy.” Now, Crawford says they will all miss Widget dearly, hoping she’s “eating endless snacks with her ‘sister’ Sugar somewhere in doggy heaven.”
Crawford is sometimes seen with Milo, who is the lucky rescue dog of her model daughter Kaia Gerber, who clearly grew up loving dogs and is known to foster them as well.
