To counter the usually sad adoption ads, specifically the classic one starring singer Sarah McLachlan, Colbert is using hilarious made-up facts about each puppy to get them forever homes. “Because if you’re not willing to lie for an adorable puppy, then you belong in a shelter.” said Colbert.
