Scott Stapp
Scott Stapp is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Creed. The band gained commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with albums like My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999), and Weathered (2001), which sold millions of copies worldwide. Creed won a Grammy Award for the song “With Arms Wide Open.”
Stapp began his career with Creed, releasing My Own Prison, which was certified multi-platinum. The band’s follow-up album, Human Clay, featured hits such as “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open.” After Creed disbanded in 2004, Stapp pursued a solo career, releasing albums like The Great Divide (2005) and Proof of Life (2013). Creed reunited in 2009 and released the album Full Circle. In addition to his music career, Stapp has been involved in charitable efforts related to mental health and addiction recovery.
Throughout his career, Stapp has collaborated with numerous artists and musicians. He worked with guitarist Mark Tremonti on multiple Creed albums, shaping the band’s sound. Stapp collaborated with producer John Kurzweg on Creed’s early albums. He worked with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback on the song “Relearn Love” for The Passion of the Christ soundtrack. Stapp also contributed vocals to the song “Fortunate Son” on Carlos Santana’s album Corazón and collaborated with rapper Big B on the track “Here Comes the Lightning.” Additionally, he served as the lead vocalist for Art of Anarchy on their second album The Madness (2017).
