Ruth Negga
Ruth Negga is an Ethiopian-Irish actress known for her role as Mildred Loving in Loving (2016), which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. She is also recognized for her portrayal of Tulip O’Hare in Preacher (2016–2019) and her work across film, television, and theater.
In Loving, Negga starred alongside Joel Edgerton, telling the true story of an interracial couple challenging anti-miscegenation laws. She appeared in Ad Astra (2019), acting with Brad Pitt in a science fiction film about space exploration. On television, she portrayed Tulip O’Hare in Preacher, collaborating with Dominic Cooper. In World Without End (2012), Negga played Lady Taria in a historical drama alongside Ben Chaplin. In Warcraft (2016), she portrayed Lady Taria Wrynn, working with Travis Fimmel in a fantasy film. Her stage credits include playing Hamlet in Hamlet at the Gate Theatre in Dublin, collaborating with Owen Roe in a contemporary adaptation.
