Marcus James Jordan is an American former college basketball player who played for the UCF Knights men’s basketball team. Known as the second eldest child of retired Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan, Marcus Jordan has made a mark both on and off the basketball court, including opening a high-end sneaker store, the Trophy Room.

During his high school career, Marcus Jordan initially played alongside his older brother Jeffrey at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, leading the team to a conference championship and the best season in school history. He then transferred to Whitney Young Magnet High School in Chicago, where he led the Dolphins to the Illinois 4A Championship in 2009 and was named the state tournament’s most valuable player. Rated by ESPNU as the 60th-best high school senior shooting guard in the country, Marcus Jordan averaged 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game upon his 2009 graduation.

At the University of Central Florida, Marcus Jordan’s insistence on wearing Nike Air Jordan shoes, out of loyalty to his father, led Adidas to terminate its sponsorship deal with UCF. Throughout his college career, Jordan averaged 8.0 points per game in his freshman year and scored a total of 1152 points. His performance peaked during the 2010–11 season, leading UCF to victory against the University of West Florida with a career-high 28 points in one game and securing a team-high 18 points in an upset against the number-16 ranked Florida. Marcus Jordan graduated in 2013 with a degree in hospitality management after leaving the UCF basketball team in August 2012.
