Rich the Kid is an American rapper, songwriter, and record executive, known primarily for his hit singles “Plug Walk” and “New Freezer.”
Rich the Kid, whose real name is Dimitri Leslie Roger, began his music career in 2013, releasing his debut mixtape “Been About the Benjamins.” He gained further recognition with a series of mixtapes titled “Rich Than Famous” and “Keep Flexin’.” In 2017, Rich the Kid founded his own record label, Rich Forever Music, which has signed several artists, including Famous Dex and Jay Critch. His debut studio album, “The World Is Yours,” was released in 2018 and included the hit singles “New Freezer” and “Plug Walk.” The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. He continued to release successful music with his second album, “The World Is Yours 2,” and his third album, “Boss Man.”
Rich the Kid has collaborated with several high-profile artists throughout his career. He worked with Kendrick Lamar on “New Freezer,” which significantly boosted his mainstream recognition. He also collaborated with Future and Young Thug on “Racks Today” and with Chris Brown on “Drippin’,” highlighting his ability to work with a diverse range of artists. Rich the Kid’s collaboration with Quavo and Takeoff from Migos on “Too Blessed” further established his presence in the rap scene.
