Q’orianka Kilcher is an American actress and activist, born on February 11, 1990, in Schweigmatt, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Pocahontas in Terrence Malick’s 2005 film “The New World” and as Kaʻiulani in “Princess Kaiulani” (2009). In 2020, Kilcher starred in a recurring role on the Paramount Network show “Yellowstone.” Of Quechua–Huachipaeri descent from her father’s side and Swiss-German through her mother, Kilcher’s diverse heritage has played a significant role in her career and activism. She grew up in Hawaii, where she developed an early interest in the arts, winning Ballet Hawaii’s Young Choreographer Award at age seven.

Kilcher’s acting career began with her role in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000) and gained momentum with her critically acclaimed performance in “The New World” (2005).
