Philip Quast
Philip Quast is an Australian actor and singer, best known for his roles in musical theatre, particularly as Javert in “Les Misérables.” He has received international acclaim, winning three Laurence Olivier Awards for his performances in the West End.
Quast’s career highlights include his portrayal of Javert in the London production of “Les Misérables,” for which he won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 1991. His performance was also part of the “Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert” at the Royal Albert Hall. Beyond musical theatre, Quast has appeared in several television series and films. Notably, he played roles in “The Devil’s Double” and “Napoleon” and contributed voice work for the animated film “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return.”
Throughout his career, Philip Quast has worked with a variety of actors, which significantly shaped his professional journey. These collaborations include performing alongside Colm Wilkinson and Michael Ball in “Les Misérables,” and with Jonathan Pryce in “The Fix” at the Donmar Warehouse.
