Parry Gripp
Parry Gripp is an American singer-songwriter and musician known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Nerf Herder. Gripp’s work includes original compositions for children’s programming, earning him a Daytime Emmy Award.
Gripp’s career began with the formation of Nerf Herder in 1994, with the band’s debut album featuring the single “Van Halen.” He later pursued a solo career, releasing For Those About to Shop, We Salute You (2005), a collection of jingles parodying commercial themes. Gripp’s song “Do You Like Waffles?” gained viral popularity, expanding his reach online. He composed music for animated series such as The Super Hero Squad Show and Ben 10: Omniverse, producing original songs for children’s and family programming. He also worked on the music for Disney’s 7D, contributing multiple songs to the show’s soundtrack.
Parry Gripp has collaborated with various musicians and platforms throughout his career. He worked with Weird Al Yankovic for musical projects on Cartoon Network. He collaborated with Bowling for Soup, creating music for animated series. Gripp also partnered with the YouTube channel Bad Lip Reading for original and parody songs. On Yo Gabba Gabba!, he collaborated with rapper Biz Markie for musical segments. He worked alongside Kelly Osbourne on Disney’s 7D, creating character songs. Gripp also partnered with PBS Kids for educational music content aimed at young viewers.
