Nash Edgerton
Nash Edgerton is an Australian film director and stuntman known for his work in action films and television series. He is a member of the filmmaking collective Blue-Tongue Films and has directed works such as “The Square” and “Gringo.”
Edgerton began his career as a stuntman, performing stunts in films including “The Matrix” trilogy, “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones,” and “The Great Gatsby.” Transitioning to directing, he gained recognition with his short films “Spider” and “Bear,” which blend dark humor with suspense. His directorial feature debut, “The Square,” premiered at the Sydney Film Festival in 2008. Edgerton continued to build his directing portfolio with “Gringo,” a dark comedy released in 2018. He also directed several episodes of the television series “Mr Inbetween.”
Nash Edgerton has collaborated with several notable actors and industry professionals. He frequently worked with his brother, Joel Edgerton, who starred in “The Square” and co-wrote the screenplay. Edgerton collaborated with Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo in “Gringo.” He worked with Teresa Palmer, who appeared in his short film “Bear,” and Rose Byrne, featured in “The Turning.” He also worked with actor Scott Ryan in “Mr Inbetween” and filmmaker David Michôd, who is part of Blue-Tongue Films.
