Scott began her acting career as a child, appearing in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1964 film “Marnie.”[2] She later featured in films such as “The Beguiled” (1971), “Posse” (1975), and “The Shootist” (1976), where she was the last actress to exchange lines with John Wayne.[3] On television, she guest-starred in series including “Wagon Train,” “Ironside,” and had a recurring role on “The Waltons.”[4] In “The Young and the Restless,” Scott’s character, Nikki Newman, evolved from a girl from the wrong side of the tracks to a central figure in Genoa City society, notably through her on-screen marriage to Victor Newman, played by Eric Braeden.[5] Her performance earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1999.[6] Beyond her signature role, Scott made guest appearances in prime-time series such as “The Nanny,” “The King of Queens,” and “Castle.”[7]
