Markiplier has one rescue dog, a Golden Retriever named Chica he adopted in November 2015. Chica is eight years old, as of 2023. In September 2022, Chica got an infection and suffered from heatstroke, which led to rumors she had passed away, but she recovered. Chica appeared with Markiplier as an NPC in AFK Arena, a action card mobile game.
