Kristen Schaal is an American comedian actress, and writer born on January 24, 1978. She’s best known for her voice-acting roles in various animated series and films, including Bob’s Burgers, Gravity Falls, and BoJack Horseman with Will Arnett. She’s also known for her role on the TV series Flight of the Conchords (2007-2009) with Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie. Most recently, she co-starred in the TV series The Last Man on Earth (2015-2018) with Will Forte.
One of her most impactful partnerships was with Jon Stewart, with whom she regularly teamed up on The Daily Show from 2008-2016. Playing an eccentric Senior Women’s Issues Correspondent, Schaal delivered satirical commentary that was equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking. Another pivotal collaboration was with H. Jon Benjamin on the long-running animated series Bob’s Burgers, where Schaal’s voice work as Louise Belcher, beginning in 2011, has drawn critical acclaim.
