Jason Ruthless but not Heartless
Kane Hodder who portrays the character of Jason in several of the franchise films, refused to kick a dog in the face to get it to stop barking during the filming of “Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan”. He told the director that even though Jason was ruthless when it came to killing people, even Jason couldn’t bring himself to harm such an innocent animal. Jason, was a friend to the animals.

Kane Hodder is an American actor, stuntman, and author. Hodder is best known for his portrayal of Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th franchise, with four appearances in the film series: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, and Jason X; and one in the video game Friday the 13th: The Game. He is also known for his role as Victor Crowley in the Hatchet series. He also played Leatherface during the stunts of Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III on a TV in Freddy Vs. Jason as a cameo, and in the upcoming video game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Freddy Krueger’s clawed glove hand in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.
