June Diane Raphael is an American actress, writer, and producer who has become one of the most respected and beloved figures in comedy. Raphael’s breakout role came in 2009, when she starred in the romantic comedy film Bride Wars alongside Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson. Since then, she has appeared in a number of hit movies and TV shows, including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, New Girl, Grace and Frankie, and The Disaster Artist.
In addition to her work as an actress, Raphael is also an accomplished writer and producer. She co-wrote and starred in the movie Ass Backwards alongside her longtime creative partner Casey Wilson, and the duo also co-created the TV series Bitch Sesh: A Real Housewives Breakdown, a popular podcast in which they hilariously dissect episodes of the Real Housewives franchise. Raphael has also worked as a producer on a number of projects, including the TV series Burning Love and the movie The Long Dumb Road.
She has appeared on a number of podcasts and talk shows, including Conan O’Brien, How Did This Get Made?, and The Adam Carolla Show. She has also worked with a number of other writers and producers, including her husband Paul Scheer, with whom she has co-created several projects.
In 2018, she participated in a virtual fundraiser for the animal welfare organization the Best Friends Animal Society, raising money to help animals find homes and receive medical care.
