Jeon Somi is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actress. She is best known for being a former member of the South Korean girl group I.O.I. and for her solo career. She first rose to fame in 2016 as a contestant on the survival show Produce 101 and later debuted as a member of the project group I.O.I. She also took part in the reality show Unpretty Rapstar, where she showed her rapping skills. After the disbandment of I.O.I, she debuted as a solo artist with her first EP “Birthday” in 2019. She also has been active as an actress, her notable roles are in “The Lies Within” and “I Wanna Hear Your Song”. Jeon Somi is recognized for her powerful performances and unique voice, and has a strong fan base in South Korea and internationally.
