Este Haim
Este Haim is an American musician, primarily known as the bassist in the rock band Haim, formed with her sisters Danielle Haim and Alana Haim. Este’s bass-playing and stage presence have been integral to Haim’s distinct sound, a fusion of rock, pop, and R&B. The band has released several critically acclaimed albums, including “Days Are Gone” (2013), “Something to Tell You” (2017), and “Women in Music Pt. III” (2020).
Este Haim’s collaborations extend beyond her familial ties, enriching her musical journey and impact. Notably, she has worked with Taylor Swift on the “no body, no crime” track, a collaboration that brought together two generations of women in music. Other collaborations feature musicians such as Childish Gambino (Donald Glover), Vampire Weekend (Ezra Koenig), Calvin Harris, Jenny Lewis, and Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine. Este has also found kinship with artists outside the musical sphere, such as the fashion designer Stella McCartney and television host Jimmy Kimmel.
Este Haim and her band have been recognized in several categories at various awards. Haim’s album “Women in Music Pt. III” was nominated for Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Moreover, the band won the NME Award for Best International Band in 2014.
