El-P
El-P, also known as El Producto (real name Jaime Meline) is an American rapper and record producer from Brooklyn, New York. He is best known for his work as one-half of the hip hop duo Run the Jewels, along with rapper Killer Mike. As a solo artist, El-P has released four solo albums: Fantastic Damage (2002), I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead (2007), Cancer for Cure (2012), and his most recent work, RTJ4 (2020).
El-P has also produced for a variety of artists, including Rage Against the Machine, Aesop Rock, Del the Funky Homosapien, and Company Flow. El-P is also the founder and CEO of his own record label, Definitive Jux. The label is home to many independent hip hop artists, including Aesop Rock, Murs, and Busdriver. He is also the creator of the music video series “Adult Swim Singles Program”, which was released in 2010.
