On “The Drew Carey Show,” Drew Carey had a pet Golden Retriever named Speedy that he got from his ex-girlfriend. At first, Speedy was seen in a doggy wheelchair. It was challenging for him to control it, so halfway through the season, they had a storyline where he had surgery to walk on all fours again. Speedy appeared in season 2 until season 8 for 41 episodes total. Speedy was played by the dog actor named Ajax, who was also an understudy for Comet, the dog on “Full House.”
