Dolly De Leon
Dolly Earnshaw de Leon is a celebrated Filipino actress whose career spans decades and genres. She has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and theater productions, including the Palme d’Or winning Triangle of Sadness for which she became the first Filipina to be nominated for a Golden Globe Award. De Leon began her acting career at the University of the Philippines Diliman where she was mentored by National Artist Tony Mabesa before transitioning into film work with Shake Rattle & Roll III (1991). Her performance in Triangle of Sadness earned her international recognition, leading to representation from Fusion Entertainment and Gersh. With an impressive body of work spanning films such as Verdict and Historya ni Ha, Dolly de Leon remains one of the most beloved actresses in Philippine cinema today. For her performance in Triangle of Sadness (2022), she became the first Filipino actress to be nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA.
