Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, known by his stage name Daddy Yankee, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, composer, and actor. He is one of the most recognized names of the genre with his spanning two decades. His song “Gasolina” became a worldwide hit in 2004. Daddy Yankee has won 184 awards from 484 nominations which includes various Latin Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Billboard Latin Music awards, Lain American Music Awards, an MTV Music Award, ASCAP awards, and more. He is a multiple Guinness World Record Holder, named “Most Influential Hispanic Artist” by CNN in 2009, and Time 100 in 2006.
