Chris Messina
Chris Messina is an American actor. Messina began his career in the late 1990s, appearing in independent films such as “Rounders” and “The Siege.” However, it was his role in the critically acclaimed film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” directed by Woody Allen.
Messina was later recognized for his role in the HBO series “The Newsroom,” in which he played the charismatic and controversial Reese Lansing. In recent years, Messina has continued to work on a variety of projects in both film and television. He played the love interest of Mindy Kaling‘s character on the hit show “The Mindy Project,” and appeared in the films “Live by Night” and “Birds of Prey.” He also starred in the HBO limited series “Sharp Objects.”
Throughout his career, Messina has worked with Jennifer Aniston in “Cake,” Meryl Streep in “Julie & Julia,” and Steve Carell in “The Way, Way Back.” He has also collaborated with directors such as Ben Affleck and Nora Ephron.
Aside from his acting work, Messina is also a dog lover and has been involved in animal advocacy efforts. In an interview with People magazine, Messina stated, “I love dogs, and I think they deserve a chance to be in a home where they’re loved and cared for.”
