Elizabeth Jean Philipps, known as Busy Philipps, is an American actress. She’s best known for her roles on the TV series Dawson’s Creek, Freaks and Geeks, Love, Inc, ER, Vice Principals, and Cougar Town. Her role in Cougar Town won her the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Busy Philipps is also known for her extensive collaborations with renowned individuals in the entertainment industry. One of her most acclaimed partnerships was with Linda Cardellini, her co-star in the cult favorite TV show “Freaks and Geeks,” which showcased her talent for imbuing depth into her comedic roles. In the critically-acclaimed series “Cougar Town,” Philipps collaborated with Courteney Cox, and their on-screen chemistry contributed to the show’s six-season run. Additionally, she worked with Tina Fey on the TV series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” Philipps’ collaborations also extend to the world of literature, where she teamed up with Marc Andreyko for “Love is Love,” a graphic novel created to support victims of the Orlando Pulse shooting.
