Bailey Bass is an American actress best known for her role as Tsireya in “Avatar: The Way of Water” and as Claudia in the television series “Interview with the Vampire.”
Bass’s acting journey began at a young age, with her first gig being a My Little Pony commercial when she was just 5 and a half years old. She later appeared in a Purell commercial alongside Malina Weissman in 2011 and made her movie debut in “Moon and Sun” in 2014. Her roles in television movies such as “A Jenkins Family Christmas” in 2021 and “Psycho Sweet 16” in 2022 also added to her growing portfolio. The pinnacle of her career, however, came with her casting in James Cameron’s “Avatar” sequels, where she plays Tsireya, a young Na’vi girl and free diver from the Metkayina Clan. Bass is slated to reprise this role in two additional “Avatar” sequels scheduled for release in 2025 and 2029.
In terms of collaborations, Bass has worked with an array of talents in the entertainment industry. She shared the screen with Malina Weissman in a Purell commercial and has acted in multiple projects with other artists such as James Cameron, the director of “Avatar.” While not necessarily a collaboration in the traditional sense, her role in “Interview with the Vampire” connects her to a lineage of artists involved in previous adaptations of the story, including Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Her work also extends beyond acting, as she was the songwriter and co-producer for Madison Lagares’ song “The Holidays,” released in December 2022.
