Chica (Dog)

Markiplier has one rescue dog, a Golden Retriever named Chica that he adopted in November 2015. Chica is nine years old, as of 2024. On May 19, 2016, Mark arranged for Chica to be spayed. A few days later, she bounced back from the surgery. In September 2022, Chica got an infection and suffered from heatstroke, which led to rumors she had passed away, but she recovered. Chica appeared with Markiplier as an NPC in AFK Arena (an action card mobile game.)

Buddi (Dog)

Markiplier and his family had a dog named Buddi the Golden Retriever. Mark was hoping Buddi would meet his new dog Chica for Christmas 2017, but sadly Buddi passed away just days before their visit.

Charlie (Dog)

Breed: Japanese Chin | Adopted 2000

Markiplier and his family had another dog, a Japanese Chin named Charlie. Charlie passed away at 15 years old in 2015.

Henry (Dog)

Breed: Golden Retriever Mix | Adopted 2018

Amy Nelson (Peebles) has one rescue dog named Henry. Henry is a Golden Retriever mix that was a street dog before being adopted by Nelson. Henry is good friends with Markiplier’s dog, Chica, and is often seen on Markiplier’s Instagram.

Mark Fischbach aka Markiplier is an American YouTuber and podcast host recognized for his Let’s Play videos, comedy sketches, and philanthropic initiatives. He is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, and later began his career in Cincinnati, Ohio. Markiplier is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
