Alexa PenaVega
Alexa PenaVega is an American actress and singer. She’s widely known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids series. She also played Shilo Wallace in the film Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008). PenaVega also starred as Ruby Gallagher in Ruby & the Rockits (2009). Alexa recorded three songs for the Spy Kids’ soundtracks while filming. She also sang “Christmas is the Time to Say ‘I Love You'” in the ABC film Santa Baby 2: Christmas Maybe (2009).
One notable collaboration was with her husband, musician and actor Carlos PenaVega, on the song “Magical” for the Disney Channel original movie “Enchanted Christmas.” Alexa has also worked with other musicians, such as the band Big Time Rush, on several projects. In addition to her music collaborations, Alexa has appeared on various television shows and movies, including the popular “Spy Kids” franchise. She has also been a contestant on several reality TV shows, including “Dancing with the Stars,” where she was paired with professional dancer Mark Ballas.
