“silly, spunky, sassy” is how the kind humans who adopted Noel describe her. Which may come as a surprise when you hear about the traumatic start to her life that resulted in her front legs being amputated. In 2007, Marley’s Mutts Rescue in Bakersfield, California, found a tiny and terribly injured Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix.
Both of Noel’s legs were broken, with the rescue guessing she was tossed out of a moving car… They had to amputate one leg, with the hope the other would heal.
Noel wasn’t so lucky, and it was also removed. But the bright side was she was given a second chance at life instead of putting her down.
Then her life turned around when she became a lucky foster fail!
Now known as Noel the Bipawd Shorkie, she’s a doggy influencer delighting 100s of thousands of fans and advocating for disabled pet adoption!
She’s happy hopping and slinking around at home.
But when she heads outside, she rips around in a custom wheelchair, complete with offroad tires.
Noel also has a roommate named Lily.
