No one loved their canines more than Barbara Bush.
The former First Lady passed away April 17th, 2018 at the age of 92. She will be missed by many, but none more than her dogs. Barbara was a longtime Spaniel fan; her dog Millie was arguably the most famous dog in politics. She was unconventional and kind, promoting literacy throughout her political career.
But, one of the best things Barbara Bush ever did was pose for the photo below.
I don't have a personal anecdotal or story to share about Barbara Bush like a lot of reporters. But I will say she took one of the all time great White House photos with her and her dogs wearing matching tracksuits. pic.twitter.com/MpNWpFJH0c

Yes. That is the then-First Lady kneeling in a grey tracksuit signaling to her Spaniels in the White House. The dogs, of course, are also in matching grey tracksuits. There isn’t a better photo in politics.

RIP Barbara. You will be missed.
