Star of Sex and The City and its follow-up, And Just Like That, Kristin Davis, had just adopted a shelter dog named Chewy from Muddy Paws Rescue NYC. Davis is a long-time advocate for pet adoption and has helped promote various rescue organizations. She also cares about wildlife conservation and has been an ambassador to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust since 2009. She cares so much that in 2023 her advocacy work earned her The Perfect World Foundation Award and was named Conservationist of the Year. She had two rescue dogs named Sam and Momma, who both passed away in 2021 (with Momma living an incredible 17 years).
Now three years on, Davis is finally ready to adopt again – And by the photos of her with her new fur baby, she couldn’t have a bigger smile. Prior to becoming a celebrity pet, Chewy was fostered by Isabel Klee, a New York City-based writer and influencer, known for her dedication to fostering dogs (with Chewy being her 18th foster). Besides being a huge fan of dogs, Klee is also a huge fan of Davis and Sex in The City, with her social media accounts for her rescue dog Simon using the name “Dogs & The City” as proof. Klee managed to keep the secret that Davis had been messaging her about Chewy before excitedly posting a video of the lucky pup’s adoption day.
Davis also left two heartfelt comments on the video saying, “I need to thank YOU @muddypawsrescuenyc and @simonsits for being so incredible!!! So professional and thoughtful and patient ! Thank you for all that you do for so many amazing dogs- my kids and I are the lucky ones to have Chewy in our lives,” and “I just want to say that i love all of you who have commented with such love and good vibes! The rescue community really inspires me and i will reread these if I’m having a bad day in the future ! Thank you”
