Youtubers Rebecca Zamolo and Matt Slays Mourn the Loss of Their Dog Peanut

Rebecca Zamolo and Matt Slays broke the sad news to their 50 million+ followers that their rescue dog Peanut, has passed away at the age of 15. Peanut and his fur sibling Blackjack appeared in many of their humans’ videos and even had over 2 million followers across their Instagram @blackjackandpeanut and their YouTube channel @PawZamDogs.

Both Zamolo and Slays posted heartfelt tributes to their late rescue pup who brought endless joy to their family, as well as millions of fans.

We said goodbye to our first baby Peanut after almost 16 years It’s hard to put into words how much Peanut meant to us, how much he taught us, and the paw prints he left on our family.
Peanut loved walks, playing, and wearing doggy clothes. He loved to snuggle (especially on Matt’s neck) and was never afraid of anything. He loved big dogs, small dogs, all dogs. He never complained or really did anything wrong. He was a bright light of only positive energy and love.
Peanut was my baby, he taught me how to be a mom, how to unconditionally love someone, and in his later years how to have empathy and compassion, and if you truly love someone how far you’re willing to go and do for them.
He was there through all my surgeries, snuggling me through each recovery, he was there for us on our IVF journey, and the miscarriage, and he finally got to meet Zadie. And Zadie loved him too.
Peanut, words can’t describe how hard this is for us and how much we will miss you, but we know you’re up in doggie heaven running by the beach & playing with other dogs. You’ve left your paw print on our hearts and we’ll always cherish all the happy memories we have with you. Thank you for letting me be your human mom.

Thank you @kellansworld for making the amazing photograph of Peanut in doggie heaven

Dear Best friend, you came into our life over 14 years ago and each day was an adventure. Peanut, you came to work with me every day, constantly wanting to lick my nose and made sure I always got my 10,000 steps. You also cuddled when we needed cuddles, loved when we didn’t even know we needed it and got us through some of the hardest times in our lives. You showed us how to fight and beat heart disease and cancer. You brought so much joy into our lives and there will never be a way I can ever repay that to you. I am so happy you were there to meet our daughter. I know now you are in a better place but its going to be hard to live without you here. A good friend sent me this quote yesterday, grief is not a sign of weakness, it is the price of love. I never know how high that price was until you weren’t here. Yesterday was the hardest day of my life watching you leave this world. I know you are soaking up the rays a little closer to the sun now. I love you and will always remember you. Dad Thank you @kellansworld for this amazing ai work of art of my best friend
