To counter the usually sad adoption ads, specifically the classic one starring singer Sarah McLachlan, Colbert is using hilarious made-up facts about each puppy to get them forever homes. “Because if you’re not willing to lie for an adorable puppy, then you belong in a shelter.” said Colbert. Plaza said that Ace, a hound-mix is “unlike every other dog you’ve met, people say Ace’s breath smells like freshly baked muffins.

In between all the time needed to promote his new film Logan with Hugh Jackman, he’s found the time to help the ASPCA and Wags and Walks to help find Ginger a new home. Ginger was bred for illegal pit bull fighting, but is very lucky to be rescued and spend some quality time with Professor X himself.
