Scruff the border collie might be 13 years old, but he’s still learning new tricks. After getting tired of seeing plastic bottles littered along his daily walk, he took the initiative to do something about it (with the help of his humans Davus and Yvonne Faulkner-Grant).
And over the course of 2022, he’s picked up over 1000 plastic bottles and hopes to inspire dogs and humans alike to do the same.
It started with Scruff enjoying playing with bottles he found on his walk. But he soon turned his fun game into an admirable mission to clean up his community and started bringing them back home.
Scruff averages about 4 to 5 bottles a day, with his humans saying his record was picking up 104 bottles in November alone.
