Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney is an English former professional footballer and current manager known for his career as a forward with Manchester United and the England national team. He is the record goalscorer for both Manchester United and the England national team.
Rooney began his professional career with Everton in 2002. He joined Manchester United in 2004, where he won five Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, three League Cups, and one FA Cup. Rooney scored 253 goals for Manchester United. He also scored 53 goals for the England national team. After leaving Manchester United, Rooney played for D.C. United in Major League Soccer and returned to Everton before transitioning to management with Derby County.
Rooney has collaborated with several notable figures throughout his career. At Manchester United, he played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs. He worked with manager Sir Alex Ferguson. On the England national team, he played with Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard. Rooney’s time at D.C. United included working with Luciano Acosta. As a manager at Derby County, he has worked with players such as Tom Lawrence and Graeme Shinnie.
