Stephen Mulhern
Stephen Mulhern is a British television presenter, magician, and comedian known for hosting an array of hit shows, including “Catchphrase,” “Britain’s Got More Talent,” and “In for a Penny.”
Mulhern first gained public attention as a magician, even winning the ‘The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year’ in 1998. However, his charisma and natural affinity for the camera quickly transitioned him to television. Among his most popular roles are hosting “Catchphrase,” a modern reboot of the classic game show, and “Britain’s Got More Talent,” the companion show to “Britain’s Got Talent.” He also ventured into radio, co-hosting the Heart Breakfast show with Emma Willis from 2018 to 2020.
Mulhern has worked with a broad spectrum of individuals in the entertainment industry. His partnership with Ant and Dec in the children’s television program “Ministry of Mayhem” and later on “Saturday Night Takeaway” was widely appreciated. Mulhern also teamed up with Holly Willoughby on “Ministry of Mayhem,” which was later rebranded as “Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.” Other notable names he’s worked with include Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Rochelle Humes, Phillip Schofield, and Marvin Humes.
“In for a Penny,” a game show he both hosted and created, was nominated for a National Television Award for Best Entertainment in 2020.
