Phil Lewis
Phil Lewis is an English musician. He is best known as the vocalist and guitarist for the American hard rock band L.A. Guns.
Lewis was born in London but worked in the US in the 1980s. In 1978, he started the band Girl with guitarist Gerry Laffy. They were soon joined by drummer guitarist Phil Collen, Dave Gaynor and bassist Mark Megary. In 1979, the band signed with Don Arden’s label, Jet Records, and they released their first album, Sheer Greed, in 1980. Phil Collen left the band in 1982 to join Def Leppard, and the band broke up shortly thereafter.
In April 1, 1987, Phil Lewis joined the band L.A. Guns after getting an invite from guitarist Tracii Guns. A year later, the band signed with Polygram Records and released their first album, L.A. Guns.
